SAND FILTER SYSTEMS

Industrial sand filter systems are a water purification system used to remove unwanted substances such as suspended solids, sediment and sludge that cause turbidity in water and distort the appearance of water. When the industrial sand filter system is selected correctly and works efficiently, the load on other treatment systems will be reduced and the filtration precision of the Multi Media Filter is below 15-20 microns. Industrial sand filter systems provide the removal of undissolved suspended solids, prevent blockages in machinery and installations and increases in energy consumption. The system is formed by placing more than one layer inside the tank with different granulometry degrees. During the service period, the particles that are filtered and kept between the filter layers are discharged during the backwash period, and the filter material is cleaned and the media is refreshed. Automation of these filters is generally provided with Fleck, Clack, RUNXIN etc. Automation valves and PLC electric systems are used as an alternative at high flow rates.
